Thinkstock Entrepreneurs resilient in face of struggling economy: survey Optimism is growing among entrepreneurs in Alberta.A new survey says 89 per cent of those who own their own business would do it all over again, if they had a chance.Executive VP of ATB Financial Wellington Holbrook says there’s a big sense of resilience, amidst current economic challenges.“You hear words like tenacious and surrounding themselves with experts, and they see opportunities others have missed,” he said. “And I think that gives us all reason to be hopeful, and optimistic about the future of the province, because ultimately businesses do drive our growth, they drive employment, and they are still seeing the bright side of that.”Holbrook says they are seeing a good number of people jumping into the unknown, and investing now, in anticipation of when the economy will start to grow again.“We saw a 16 per cent increase in the number of entrepreneurs who are feeling the economy will be the same or better off in the next six months,” Holbrook said.
